A Project for Children in Need
Within our centre we have various Sport Clubs. Starting with ball games like Volleyball, Basketball and Football - whereby every boy can choose his favourite game. We are proud of a good number of talented players who annually manage to reach the national level in the interschool games. Every year we organize Football, volleyball, netball and basketball competition for all the children’s home around Nairobi and over 60 teams take part in various games.
It becomes tough in the Dining Hall on Monday, Wednesday and Friday when the Don Bosco Karate club are trained by Sensei James Olewe, who has 20 years of experience in teaching young people.
In October 3rd the club hosted a mega competition and about 80 participants took part in various categories from the various clubs around.We have a very active skating club who take part in skating activities and develop their talents. Eventually we hope to begin an ice hockey team. We have Mr. Jamon who is training our kids to develop their talents.
This club is a vehicle for developing the journalistic mind of our students. They are expected to publish regularly the magazine called "The Eye Opener". It is a magazine for the students and the staff and all the articles are contributed by the students and the staff.
The members of this club have love for environment and they prepare a nursery of plants and trees. They also make sure that the trees and plants are watered, weeded and manured.
